September 2018: Madria Sangria

I love this bottle of Sangria especially when I don’t make the Sangria myself.  You can add ice and a splash of lime, some juice, or just enjoy as is.  You can also use this bottle of Sangria in place of the red wine that I have used in the Sangria recipes that I have shared.

Salu’d, XOXO Smiling Danny

July 2018: Cowtown Winery, Sweet Red Table Wine,              Fort Worth, Texas

  • Bouquet: Bourbon, Cinnamon, and Subtle Raisin
  • Taste: Caramel, Children’s Cough Syrup, Brown Sugared Apples, Port
  • This wine paired nicely with the Apricot Glazed Chicken that I made alongside Greenbeans and Fingerling Potatoes. (check out this month’s blog post for the recipe)
  • Another wine that I truly enjoyed from this winery is called Painted Lady. The wine smells like strawberries and tastes like a Strawberry Fanta Soda. Just thinking of it brings joy to my heart.

September 2017: 19 Crimes, 2015

I love wines that I can drink on their own; meaning, I don’t need to pair it with a meal in order to really enjoy it. I can just have a nice glass while winding down for bed.
